[Second Blossom] SHENLING Wins the Bid for Sohar and Ibri Power Plants in Oman, Contributing to the “Belt and Road” Initiative

Recently, Shenling won the bid for Sohar and Ibri Power Plants in Oman, supplying them with HVAC equipment such as rooftop air conditioners and modular air conditioners, worth a total of over RMB 10 million.

Sohar and Ibri Power Plants in Oman, the first country in the Middle East to build a coal-fired power plant, witnessed the second cooperation between Power Construction Corporation of China and ACWA Power, the largest private IPP developer in the Middle East, following the Morocco Noor II and III solar complexes in the Belt and Road strategic market, totaling an investment of about USD 1.95 billion.

Due to the tropical desert climate for two seasons all year round in Oman and the special location and project requirements, air conditioning units, in addition to possessing the basic functions, also need to be customized professionally for comprehensive anti-corrosion protection, sand-proof protection, noise reduction design, and high temperature environment operation. From the material selection and manufacturing of each component to the overall painting process and the whole process quality control of the unit, Shenling has summarized a full spectrum of solutions for various harsh environments with years of design, research and development and production and manufacturing experience.
